Improvement of the network of regional and local roads

With EUR 92.3 million, the Recovery and Resilience Facility supports the improvement of condition of already existing state regional and local roads.

210km of state regional and local roads will be renovated or rebuilt to provide better access to services and workplaces in the administrative centres of municipalities.
Road construction works shall also include investments that improve road safety.

The selected road sections have been identified in cooperation with planning regions by evaluating the condition of the road surface, average daily traffic intensity, as well as the planned use of roads and reachability of administrative centers of municipalities affected by administrative-territorial reform.

All works are expected to be completed by 31 December 2024.
