‘Improved energy subsidy scheme’ of the Flemish Region

Improved energy subsidy scheme’ of the Flemish Region

In 2022, Flanders adopted reforms to provide more efficient incentives to accelerate private energy efficiency investments.

This involved creating a single subsidy scheme for energy efficiency and renewable energy (Mijn VerbouwPremie), revising the EPC label scheme to support renovations and revising the subsidy for home batteries, heat pumps etc.

The schemes, which will receive EUR 276 million of funding from the Recovery and Resilience Facility (incl. REPowerEU),  are together expected to result in improved energy performances of at least 82170 private homes. 8460 grants for home batteries have already been awarded.
