High-tech equipment for the national health system (INVEAT)

The investment seeks to reduce the obsolescence of high-tech equipment from the Spanish National Health System. It will ensure that all the equipment that is more than 12 years old is refurbished. It will also improve access to that equipment for patients throughout the territory (by raising the average density rate of high equipment by at least 15 % technology per 100.000 inhabitants). The programme will result in 851 new high-technology pieces of equipment, of which 574 will be renewed and 277 will be expanded throughout Spain. Thanks to this investment, the diagnostic capacities of health centres will be improved to the benefit of patients.
