School Sports Infrastructure Enhancement Plan (Mission 4, Component 1, Investment 1.3)The Italy's Recovery and Resilience Plan aims at strengthening sport infrastructure and encouraging sport activities. Reinforcing sporting activity is expected to combat early school leaving, enhance social inclusion and reinforce personal aptitudes.The investment will upgrade sports facilities and gyms attached to schools to ensure an increase in the educational offer and promote an increase in school time. The investment is financed by the NRRP with EUR 300 million. In the Municipality of Rome VII, in the “Statuario” district, there is the “Guido Milanesi” secondary school in Via Tropea No. 26, dating back to 1995-1996, inside which is located the gymnasium that is the object of the intervention.Although there are other, larger gyms in the school, the gym being redeveloped falls in a quadrant that is of significant strategic importance to the school facility.Recovery and enhancement activities include:- extensive work on the entire waterproofing sheathing of the structure;- work on the floor of the access gallery;- specific work on the structure of the gym volume and external finishes, including access areas.This project is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility with EUR 265.500,00.
