A  set of twenty-one green urban renewal strategies for a total of 21 local government units (cities Stari Grad, Đurđevac, Zabok, Kutina, Sveta Nedjelja, Vrbovec, Jastrebarsko, Zagreb, Sveti Ivan Zelina, Petrinja, Samobor, Stupnik, Slunj, Sisak, Glina, Čakovec, Pula and Pregrada and municipalities Topusko, Krapinske Toplice, Stupnik and Lobor) has been developed focusing on green urban infrastructure, integrating nature-based solutions, integrating models for circular management of space and buildings, strengthening resilience against risks and climate change - supporting the overall sustainable development. The strategies have been developed based on guidelines for drawing up green urban renewal strategies provided by the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets.

So far, the RRF financed the development of 93 strategies with EUR 2 million.

This measure was scaled-up in the REPowerEU chapter, where at least 60 additional green urban renewal strategies will be developed by Q3 2025.
