Greek Smart Cities - Trikala

The project aims to gradually transform the Municipality of Trikala into a ‘Smart City’ through the development of new infrastructure, digital platforms and IT systems.

The smart city solutions shall enable the use of technology, information and open data to improve city infrastructure and e-services, with the ultimate goal of improving citizens’ quality of life, promoting sustainability, and boosting the city’s competitiveness.

The project includes Central Smart City Information, Management and Monitoring systems, as well as, smart applications and platforms for:

• Health & Social Care
• Energy
• Civil Protection & Environment
• Water Resources
• Waste Management
• Economic Development & Urban Planning
• Citizen Participation
• Connectivity

The total budget amounts to €6,930,000, of which €5,588,710 is financed through the RRF contribution.
