The project aims to gradually transform the Municipality of Patras into a ‘Smart City’ through the development of new infrastructure, digital platforms and IT systems.

The smart city solutions shall enable the use of technology, information and open data to improve city infrastructure and e-services, with the ultimate goal of improving citizens’ quality of life, promoting sustainability, and boosting the city’s competitiveness.

The project includes multiple Smart City actions for:

  • Mobility, Energy, Civil Protection, and Environment
  • Infrastructure Security
  • Monitoring Sewer Overflow Chambers
  • Economic Development
  • Forest Safety
  • Waste Management
  • Connectivity
  • Monitoring Drinking Water Consumption
  • Interoperability Center
  • Open Data Platform
  • Electronic Citizen Information Service on Public Procurement
  • Electronic Citizen Information Service on Cemetery Management

The total budget amounts to €5,940,000, of which €4,790,323 is financed through the RRF contribution.
