Further reduction of regulatory and administrative burden

Entry into force of a legislative package aimed at eliminating legal barriers affecting the investment climate, in particular through:

• Simplification of administrative procedures and silent consent procedures in at least 12 procedures, especially those related to seafarer professions and the trade of alcoholic beverages;
• Limiting the application of the two-instance procedure in at least 10 procedures, particularly those related to geological resources;
• Digitization of application handling in at least eight administrative procedures, such as submitting declarations by tourism operators and entrepreneurs to the Insurance Guarantee Fund, applying for social benefits by students, and geodetic procedures;
• Introduction of other rationalizations of administrative procedures (such as reducing the number of required documents or formalities), particularly by improving processes in spatial planning, construction, and land consolidation;
• Extension of deadlines for fulfilling obligations imposed on businesses and individuals in certain administrative procedures—for example, extending the vehicle registration period for cars purchased in other EU member states from 30 to 60 days or extending the validity of the tourism voucher from March 31, 2022, to September 30, 2022.
