Footbridge for pedestrians - Nymburk city

Pedestrian Nymburk
Copyright: State Fund for Transport Infrastructure

The footbridge project is implemented to transfer pedestrian and cycling  traffic from the local part of Zálabí to the city centre and vice versa.

Considering the dependence of the local part of Zálabí on the centre of Nymburk, it is necessary to ensure safe, comfortable and unrestricted transport for the inhabitants for all civic amenities.

When the new footbridge was was built on the site of the original footbridge, which was removed in 2018 due to its poor technical condition. The footbridge is designed to the crossing of a single vehicle of the integrated rescue system with a total weight of up to 12 tonnes.

The construction of the footbridge consists of two very flat, externally inclined, arches, on which is suspended a bridge deck made of prestressed concrete.

At the extremities parts of the footbridge outside the arch, the bridge deck is supported by intermediate piers and supported on abutments.
