Flexible work arrangements in the form of telework

The objective of the reform is to promote flexible work arrangements in the form of telework, to enhance work-life balance and increase employment opportunities.
The law was approved by the House of Representatives on November 16, 2023 and entered into force with its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic on December 1, 2023.
The project also includes a scheme relieving part of staff costs as an incentive for employers to hire unemployed persons who shall telework.
The implementation of the reform shall be completed by 30 September 2025.
