Copyright: Slovenian Institute for Adult Education The ultimate objective of the project is to develop adult learning programmes that can be easily adapted by front-line educators to the respective financial literacy needs of people. In order to achieve this objective, the highest quality basic training of professionals working in the field of adult learning in Slovenia is needed. Therefore, the equally important objective of the project is to develop a training programme for practitioners. The project is part of the reform on renovating the education system for the green and digital transitions.The purpose of the project is to contribute to the strategic development of financial literacy in three key areas that enable adults to achieve and maintain financial well-being in times of unpredictable economic and social changes, namely:personal and family finances and borrowing;personal and family financial planning and saving for the future andknowledge of dangers and preventive actions against abuse and fraud.Project activities include:An analysis of the situation and the need for new financial literacy programmes for adults is prepared and accessible on the project website during the project materials.The development of expert guidelines for the preparation of public-approved financial literacy programmes for adults (proposal) is shared with pilot implementation providers and will be updated upon completion of the pilot programmes on the basis of an evaluation report following the completion of the pilot programmes.Completion of work on the development of 2 new public programmes. The final updated programme proposals for older people and young adults are the basis for piloting. The members of the Development Group reported on selected topics of the sample informal programmes and continue their work on the preparation of proposals. The model programme proposals will be presented at the next meeting of the Development Group. A draft programme is prepared to empower institutions with a set of content and delivery formats. The draft programme will be updated following the expiry of the pilot exercises.The text of the evaluation plan and instruments for the implementation of the evaluation of the JV programmes and the evaluation of the competence of programme providers or the relevance of the training programme for the empowerment of practitioners is prepared. The plan defines data collection methods.The dissemination of results takes the form of expert events attended by members of the development group. The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 473,000, while the total cost of the project is EUR 517,000.
