Expansion of waste heat recovery

AT & S Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik AG manufactures circuit boards and IC substrates. These are used, for example, in smartphones and notebooks, sensors, hearing aids and pacemakers. 

In order to maintain constant climatic conditions for the production process at the existing Plant 1 in Leoben (Styria), a gas-powered boiler is now to be replaced with efficient high-pressure humidification systems and a heat pump is also to be installed.

It is expected that annual greenhouse gas emissions will be cut by approx. 900 tons. The project is currently in the construction phase.
