The project aims to raise the basic computing and informatics skills of learners through the introduction of innovative approaches and the use of modern digital tools.

This provides learning opportunities for learners, which is crucial for equal empowerment to meet the challenges of modern society and to thrive in the future.

The project will: 1. Carry out an inventory and a snapshot of the existing situation at the educational institutions in the field of computing and informatics, identify the needs in the field of computing and informatics and develop the substantive baselines of the implementation plan for the implementation of the computing and informatics basics.

2. Develop, implement and evaluate model learning scenarios that will relate to the introduction of core computing and informatics content to secondary school, taking into account the current absence of a computing and informatics subject in primary school.

3. Develope the Catalogue of Core Skills of computing and informatics, which will build on already existing domestic and foreign documents, build on the so-called ‘cricular framework’ for defining core and minimum content of the computing and informatics, skills standards and criteria for evaluating learners’ progress.

4. Set up a learning community that will play a key role at national level by making the implementation materials and experiences of teachers available to all members of the learning community.

5. Diseminate and promote the introduction of core computing and informatics content in a narrower and wider educational area – educational space in us and abroad, and the formation of positive attitudes towards the introduction of core computing and informatics content as cross-curricular and self-contained mandatory content of nursery/learning activities in the educational institutions.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 900,000, the total value of the investment. The project started in October 2024 and will be finalised in June 2026.
