The investment aims to increase the energy renovation rate of multi-family buildings and public buildings in Romania, one of the EU countries most exposed to seismic risk and therefore in need of energy renovation and seismic renovation. The works shall ensure cost-efficiency, long-term effects and respect the aesthetics and architectural quality of the building, by taking into account the possible cultural protection requirements of renovation in the case of buildings belonging to cultural heritage. The investment shall also improve the accessibility of buildings by creating new facilities and adapting buildings to the needs of persons with disabilities as well as to the ageing population.
The first contracts for improving energy efficiency have been signed.
