The municipalities of Ibiza Vila, Sant Antoni de Portmany, Santa Eulària des Riu, and Sant Joan de Labritja, on the island of Ibiza, will have a total of 171 new places created for the first cycle of early childhood education starting from the 2024-2025 school year. Specifically, 67 places will be established at the El Cantó childcare center in Ibiza, and at the new Sant Rafel nursery in Sant Antoni de Portmany; 18 places at the Benirràs center in Sant Joan de Labritja, and 19 places at Menuts in Santa Eulària. This intervention to improve and expand educational services for students aged zero to three involves constructing new centers and adapting existing ones. In addition to investments in construction and space adaptation, the provision of equipment, facilities, and the purchase of necessary furniture for operational readiness are also planned. Across the Balearic Islands and during the period from 2021 to 2024, a total of 1,749 new public places for children aged zero to three will be created through the construction of twenty-eight new centers and the expansion of ten existing facilities.
