Establishment of national research and development laboratories

The project, funded with a total of EUR 13.1 million under Hungary's Recovery and Resilience Plan, aims to establish a professional network in Hungary. This network will uniquely facilitate the development of competitive technologies, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures through collaboration between universities, research institutes, European research organizations, SMEs, and large enterprises.

Together with its corporate partners, PharmaLab focuses not only on early research projects but also on activities related to preclinical and generic development in the fields of chemistry, biology, biotechnology, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical technology. 

The laboratory integrates the research potential of laboratories, centers, institutes, universities, and businesses working in diagnostics, medical biotechnology, bionics, and drug development. 

The project will be implemented between 1 March 2022 and 28 February 2026. The implementation is divided into five phases, and is currently in the fourth phase.
