In March 2022, the Lithuanian Parliament approved amendments to the Law on Energy from Renewable Sources, the Electricity Law and the Energy Law. These amendments set long-term renewable energy targets for all sectors, including an ambitious target to reach 100% of the renewable electricity production in relation to Lithuania’s gross final consumption by 2045. Amendments also provide more certainty and clarity for investors, set the body responsible for consulting and methodological assistance on activities in the electricity sector.
