Entry into force of the amended Law on Health Care Institutions and the Law on the Health System of the Republic of Lithuania and the related legislation

The amendments to the Law on Healthcare Institutions and the the Law on the Lithuanian Health system and implementing legislation came into force on 1 of July 2023. 

The objective of this reform is establish a centralized model for the organization of emergency care by integrating ambulance dispatch centres into a single system of the Emergency Response Centre ensuring better service for the population and improved working conditions for the medical care providers.
