The reform envisages a set of legislative changes introducing priority for pedestrians at crossings, uniform speed-limit in built-up areas, and a minimum distance between vehicles. Progress of the reform shall be tracked against a road safety target on a relative decrease of fatalities and seriously injured people in line with EU and Member States’ goals on road safety.
The reform was implemented in 2021.
