Enhancement, modernisation and upgrade of Cyprus State Hospitals (Pafos General Hospital and Pafos Hospital Haemodyalisis unit)

The objective is to enhance and upgrade the Cyprus State Hospitals to enable them to compete on an equal basis with the private sector, whilst improving the quality of healthcare services and the working conditions for health workers in public hospitals.
As regards the actions related with the Paphos General Hospital, the following are noted:
1) The construction of the Paphos Hospital Haemodyalisis Unit, was completed in October 2023. The taking over certificate was issued in December 2023 and the Unit started offering services in February 2024.
2) The enhancement of the Paphos General Hospital has been completed and the taking over certificate will be issued mid June.
The entire measure should be concluded by mid-2026.
