The objective is to enhance and upgrade the Cyprus State Hospitals to enable them to compete on an equal basis with the private sector, whilst improving the quality of healthcare services and the working conditions for health workers in public hospitals.As regards the new Mental Health Hospital in Nicosia, the construction part was completed in May 2024 and the electrification of the building was completed by the EAC in early September 2024. The issuance of the taking over certificate is expected by October 2024.
