Energy efficiency in the economy

The reform will promote the digitization of energy efficiency reporting and monitoring. The action plan for managing energy efficiency in the economy will ensure the introduction of a digitalised method of reporting on companies' energy audits and monitoring potential and achieved energy savings. 

The digitized reporting method will be used by companies that are required to carry out energy audits under the Energy Efficiency Act, as well as by companies that are not currently covered by the Act.

The reform is expected to reduce the administrative burden on companies through digitization and improve and harmonize reporting and monitoring of energy efficiency data, which will enable better evaluation of the effects of energy efficiency measures.

An Action Plan for the management of energy efficiency in the economy by 2030 was adopted by the government on 12 December 2024.
