Copyright: Osnovna šola Pohorskega odreda Slovenska Bistrica The objective of the investment is to strengthen digital competences, competences for sustainable development and the financial literacy of teachers and learners, to align education systems to needs of labour market, and to facilitate the transition to the labour market. The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 0.51 million.The implementation of the project Strengthening Competences for Sustainable Development involves the development and upgrading of existing modern didactic approaches and pedagogical strategies for active teaching, taking into account the results of professional development at home and abroad up to date. For the participating target groups (children, pupils, students and education professionals) are strengthened sensibility, responsiveness and resilience of the educational system as well as lifelong learning to reinforce sustainable development competencies in the following priority areas: energy, renewable energy sources, circular economy and circular schools, and reducing the carbon and ecological footprint.An approach to developing and strengthening sustainable development competencies among learners in education and training is being developed and upgraded through a so-called holistic school approach. Didactic approaches and pedagogical strategies are being tested and implemented with the evaluation of the development and strengthening of financial literacy competencies of learners in groups/classes involved in the project. Good practices in the field of strengthening the development of competencies for sustainable development are transferred and exchanged.
