This project is part of an investment scheme called the Elderly care Initiative.
This investment shall aim at improving the skills set of the staff working in elderly care centres.
It shall consist of disbursements of the salary costs related to the upskilling and training of the staff during their working hours.
The central government makes these disbursements to the municipalities, which are responsible for elderly care.
The municipality of Borlänge received a RRF grant of 2 million EUR for this project (20 million SEK, ECB exchange rate of plan submission on 28 May 2021).
The project is on-going.
