Digitalisation of the administration – implementation of the Online Access Act

Germany aims to make more public services digitally available. 100 of the most important public services under the responsibility of the federal states (Länder) and 115 federal public services will be made digitally available to users.

At this stage, more than 70 services have already been made available: this includes for instance services linked to health insurance or pension rights which German citizens can now use online.

Overall, the digital modernisation of the public administration is a project of major importance and boosted by EUR 3 billion of investment in the German Recovery and Resilience Plan.
