DIGI.DR: Strengthening digital citizenship in Slovenian education institutions - The comprehensive transformation of green and digital education

The project aims to raise awareness of importance and develop competences with a focus on digital citizenship in the context of education.

The objectives of the project are to:

  • Develop competences with a focus on digital citizenship in the context of education.
  • Test and evaluate content and approaches to develop and strengthen competences with a focus on digital citizenship among managers, practitioners, learners and parents.
  • Prepare a proposal for a reference framework for developing digital citizenship in the context of education and education.

The results of the project will help to comprehensively improve the ability of all stakeholders in the education system to better prepare children, learners and students to participate actively and responsibly in the digital society. 

The ultimate objective of the project is to establish a sustainable model that equips all stakeholders involved with the skills needed to thrive and participate responsibly in the digital society, and the content produced, guidelines and approaches will be made available electronically via the SIO portal to all kindergartens and schools for further use.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 850,000, the total value of the investment. The project started in August 2024 and will be finalised in April 2026.
