The investment aims to reduce the consumption of water, material and electricity in the production process, thereby contributing to positive effects for the user.

The project also aims to improve working conditions and strengthen sustainable circular competences of employees at all levels.

With the investment the company KGL reduced their carbon footprint by having developed products that are environmentally friendly and recycled in the development and use phase as well as reused.

Such circular solutions may also be used in other industries such as the food and pharmaceutical industries.

In line with the company’s new sustainable circular strategy and with new positive effects, the company will contribute to environmental objectives.

The project responds to the company’s challenges to reduce its dependence on the automotive industry, on the one hand, and the use of the cleanest technology for the production of polypropene cups, fully automated and robotised production of high-quality thin products, on the other hand.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provided funding of EUR 90,000, while the total value of the investment was EUR 156,000. The project started in September 2023 and was finalised in March 2024.
