The goals of the investment are to:

  • develop a low-emission washing machine,
  • develop a low emission stand-alone refrigerator-freezer and
  • establish the necessary infrastructure and systems for the verification of household appliances.

The project, led by the appliance manufacturer Gorenje gospodinjski aparati d.o.o., aims to reduce water, energy and detergent consumption, while simultaneously also decreasing noise emissions. Furthermore it will enable the use of Internet of things (IoT) technologies in the company’s household appliances.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 999,902, while the total value of the investment is EUR 2,446,668.68. The project started in January 2023 and will be finalized in January 2026.
