The purpose of the project eFokus is to purchase hardware and IT equipment for inspectors’ field work.

The objective of the investment is to set up a new information system, develop applications and purchase appropriate equipment, which will make the work of the agricultural, forestry, hunting and fisheries inspectors more efficient and reliable on the ground. Digitalisation will relieve inspectors of administrative burden, introduce paperless business and increase the transparency of their work.

The project envisages increasing the efficiency and reliability of field inspection work by providing inspectors in one place with all the information they need to identify and verify the actual state of the space directly on the ground. Portable devices and dedicatedly developed applications on mobile devices will allow them to capture all necessary spatial data directly on the ground, including geo-referenced photos and attributes that will form the basis of the electronic inspection record.

In order to ensure adequate effectiveness on the ground, the project will develop dedicated servers, web-based and mobile solutions that will allow greater efficiency in the area of preparation for inspection and in field work itself, with reduced time needed to prepare for the survey, to verify the reality on the ground.

The objectives of the project are to increase the efficiency of the inspection by at least 20 %, which means that inspectors will be able to carry out more inspections on an annual basis, identify discrepancies in space and manage data more efficiently.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility provides funding of EUR 1 million, while the total value of the investment is EUR 1.3 million. The project started in January 2022 and will be finalised by June 2026.
