Construction, upgrading, reconstruction and equipping of primary schools for single shift full-day teaching: Primorsko-Goranska County

This investment, which receives EUR 1.302 billion from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, shall result in 100% primary school pupils attending singe shift schools. Investments include the construction of new primary schools and the upgrade of existing ones, including sport infrastructures. 

The objective of this measure is to support the shift to full-day teaching for primary schools in Croatia. In the construction and reconstruction of classrooms and sport halls, the standards established in the 2022 Normatives on primary school dimensions shall be respected. 

At least 375 new sport halls shall be built. The implementation of these investments takes place at local level, with cities and municipalities participating in calls for the realisation of infrastructure projects in their territory.
