Construction and fitting out of the General Hospital Varaždin central operating block

The RRP supports with €43 million the construction of the Central operating block at the Varaždin General Hospital. This is the largest investment in healthcare from the Plan.

​New facilities will include central operating block with intensive treatment unit, central sterilization, X-rays diagnostics, transfusions and medical-biochemical laboratories and connecting corridors to existing medical facilities. 

The investment is planned to be finished in January 2026.

DG Gauer and DDG ECFIN Costello visited the hospital during the local part of the annual RRF event in Varaždin on 21 January 2025.
