Copyright: Croatian government The objective of the investment, worth EUR 81 million, is to build and equip four logistics and distribution infrastructure centres for fruit and vegetables by end-June 2026, thereby improving the competition in the agricultural and food sector. The logistic distribution centres will contribute to reducing food loss and waste and will use renewable energy sources for their operation.Near the city of Đurđevac in Koprivnica-Križevci County, the construction of a logistics and distribution center for fruits and vegetables (LDC) has started. The applicant of the project entitled "LDC AGRO - construction and equipping of LDC for fruits and vegetables" is the company LDC Agro d.o.o. which was founded by the producer organization Natura Agro d.o.o. and partner Osatina grupa d.o.o., who are investors in a joint project, co-financed by EUR 15 million from the Croatian Recovery and Resilience Fund. The primary goal of the investment is to provide members of the producer organization and local farmers with the possibility of repositioning on the agricultural market.
