The investment “climate and environment friendly agriculture and food production” is the third of the four missions of the research programme to accelerate the development of climate-friendly technology solutions.
The objective of this mission shall be to increase investments in new technology to further push the boundaries of reducing emissions in the agriculture and food sectors, while maintaining a sustainable production and earnings.
The type of activities that will be funded will include research and innovation in new breeding techniques, development of precision agriculture and the establishment of new cultivation and fertilisation systems that are more efficient. The mission is open to include new members, who pay an annual membership fee that depends on the size of the organisation.
A first call launched by the mission has brought about 11 dedicated projects. A second call is underway. The Recovery and Resilience Facility supports this investment with EUR 23.5 million (approximately DKK 175 million).
