Classic and smart grid development for transmission system operator and distribution system operators

The project aims to increase the transmission capacity of the transmission network by increasing the capacity of several substations by 400 kV and increasing the load capacity of some 220 kV transmission lines. 

The project will result in a significant increase in the number of weather-dependent renewable electricity generating units that can potentially be connected to the transmission grid. 

The project is supported by EUR 6 835 634 from the Recovery and Resilience Facility. It will be completed by 30 April, 2026.
