Building and renovating of kindergartens

The objective of this investment is to support access to early childhood education and care in Croatia. It includes the construction of new kindergartens and the renovation of existing ones. This will create 22,500 new places in kindergartens and is expected to reduce regional inequalities in the availability of kindergartens. The final deadline for completion of all works is mid-June 2026. The first call of EUR 166 million was launched in May 2022 from which 255 kindergartens all across Croatia can be financed. The second call is currently in preparation. The total planned amount for the investment is EUR 215 million.
