Brownfields - Building modifications and extension of the multipurpose house in Valeč

The 1928 building has been dilapidated for the last few decades. The municipality bought it six years ago from the Sokol community and decided to save this decaying building. The Sokol Hall will now serve its original purpose - it is a multifunctional hall for cultural and sporting events, a restaurant, a clubhouse for TJ Sokol Valeč and two rooms for sleeping in the attic.

The architect Arnošt Fabik has preserved the historical features of the building, although the house is now equipped with many modern technologies for energy savings. Heating is provided by four heat pumps, there is a photovoltaic power plant with batteries for energy storage and water from the roofs is captured in tanks and used to flush toilets.
