Bike path via S. Croce

Investment in soft mobility (National Plan of Cycle Path)  (Mission 2, Componente 2, Investment 4.1)

Italy’s Recovery and resilience plan provides for the construction of at least 565 km of cycling lanes in metropolitan areas and at least 746 km of tourist cycle paths.

Cycle paths shall facilitate first-mile and last-mile commuting – connecting locations in metropolitan areas to nearby railway or metro nodes, or universities to nearby railway or metro nodes.

The eligible tourist cycle paths are defined in Law no. 208 of 28 December 2015.

For this investment, the NRRP provides EUR 467 million at the national level.

The project aims to create a new bicycle path from Via S. Croce, which connects Piazza Fiera to Corso 3 Novembre, for a total length of approximately 400 metres.

As part of this investment, the project is divided into two sections.

The first is to the north from Piazza Fiera to the crossing leading to the Santa Chiara Service Centre, the second section to the south from the Santa Chiara Service Centre to the crossing with Corso 3 Novembre.

The NRRP funds allocated to this project amount to EUR 128.195.
