Investment in soft mobility (National Plan of Cycle Path) (Mission 2, Component 2, Investment 4.1)Italy’s Recovery and Resilience Plan provides for the construction of at least 565 km of cycling lanes in metropolitan areas and at least 746 km of tourist cycle paths. Cycle paths shall facilitate first-mile and last-mile commuting – connecting locations in metropolitan areas to nearby railway or metro nodes, or universities to nearby railway or metro nodes. The eligible tourist cycle paths are defined in Law no. 208 of 28 December 2015. For this investment, the RRP provides EUR 467 million at the national level.Part of this investment are the interventions for new bike lanes, as part of the implementation of Bologna’s plan for bike mobility, so-called “biciplan”.The projects concern the construction of more than 14 km of new bike lanes connecting railway stations or other urban mobility key points with Bologna’s universities, contributing to achieve the objective of 18% urban movements made by bike by 2030.The projects in Bologna are financed by the RRP for EUR 2 million and are expected to be completed in 2023.Additional links:https://crescebologna.it/progetti/interventi-pnrr-la-mobilita-ciclisticaTop 100 recipients:ROMA CAPITALE ReferenceM2C2 in the IT Recovery and Resilience PlanProject locations Italy EU contribution€467 000 000 Project websitehttps://crescebologna.it/...
