Arboretum Volčji potok - Sustainable renovation of buildings

The project aims at a thorough energy renovation of three facilities within Arboretum Volčji potok - the manor house, the gallery and the shop.

The energy renovation of the buildings includes replacement of windows and doors, thermal insulation of the roofs or ceilings above the usable spaces, thermal insulation of the façade in two buildings and replacement of heating in all buildings. 

Heating with fuel oil and electric heaters is replaced by heat pumps of different types. At the same time as the energy renovation, structural rehabilitation is being carried out to increase the seismic safety of the buildings.

The renovation of the gallery was completed at the end of March 2025.

The Recovery and Resilience Facility contributes EUR 597,000 to the investment worth EUR 1.2 million in total. The project started in January 2024 and should be finalised by December 2025.
