Autonomy patterns for people with disabilities (Mission 5, Component 2, Investment 2)Italy's Recovery and Resilience Plan contributes through this measure to increase the autonomy of people with disabilities. The scope of the investment is to accelerate the process of de-institutionalization by providing community and home-based social and health services in order to improve the autonomy of people with disabilities. The measure will promote access to housing and job opportunities, including new possibilities offered by information technology.The investment is financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan with EUR 85 million at national level.The project AOSTA CASA DOMOTICA CONDOMINIO DORAVIDI is part of this investment. The project aims to promote paths of de-institutionalization of people with disabilities in order to allow them to start and consolidate paths of autonomous life through the residence, even temporary, in equipped apartment groups. The project foresees actions aimed at increasing the opportunities for employment based on the principles and methods defined by the guidelines on independent living and, in particular, ensuring the freedom of choice to live at home, and the development of a network of services useful for the full inclusion of the disabled person in society, also in the face of a progressive process of deinstitutionalization. In particular, the objectives envisaged include the following:ensure that a life plan is drawn up for the guests of the accommodation units provided;contribute to the achievement of the quality of life in all its dimensions by pursuing a level of personal satisfaction of life in line with individual expectations and desires (Quality of life model);to identify suitable accommodation, equipped with home automation, which corresponds to the specific needs of the person and which allows the start of independent living paths;promote dialogue and negotiation between the many privileged partners in the sector, both in the public and in the private sector, developed in a continuity of relations through a holistic approach;disseminate throughout the territory a shared approach and procedures of evaluation, design, through a fair and effective use of formal and informal resources.With regard to employment and work placement, training placements and other training methods are also provided online. In any case, the specific objectives and actions to achieve them will be defined by the individualised project, also through the involvement of the Structure of employment inclusion policies of the Department of Labour Policies and Training of the Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley. The individual project will also determine the choice of IT and non IT devices, necessary for the path that the person intends to take.
