Aid for more than 300 energy rehabilitation projects of buildings in Catalonia

The Catalan Energy Institute (ICAEN) has granted, thanks to the NextGenerationEU funds, aid to more than 300 energy rehabilitation projects of private buildings, companies, communities of owners and local administrations.

The projects are mainly focused on improving the energy efficiency of the thermal environment and the heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and domestic hot water installations.

In all cases, at least a 10% reduction in final energy consumption has been achieved compared to the initial situation.

Beneficiaries of these projects receive initial aid of 35% of the implementation cost, with the possibility of obtaining additional aid of 15% if they rehabilitate public protection housing, if the buildings are located in urban regeneration areas or if they obtain improve the energy classification of the building to an A or B category.
