21st century vocational training institution development programme at Kaposvár Vocational Training Centre

The programme “21st Century Vocational Training Institutions Development Programme”supports the creation of an attractive learning environment in the institutions of Vocational Training Centres with a budget of about EUR 243 million.

The aim of the development is the complete energy modernisation and infrastructure renovation of the school buildings on the Technikum site. The area covered by the development covers more than 8 000 m2.

The energy renovation will include thermal insulation of the façade, thermal insulation of the closing slab, waterproofing, replacement of windows and doors, replacement of overhead lighting (with fixed glazing).

The gym and workshops, which are still operated by a steam boiler, will be connected to the district heating system, and the necessary pump replacements will be carried out in the heat centre. The existing heating pipework will be retained and the radiators will be replaced and thermostatic valves installed.

The total non-reimbursable amount of the project supported by the European Union is EUR 15.40 million.

The public procurement procedure for the project is ongoing.
