To celebrate the European Day of Languages later this month, we are launching a multilingual campaign. This year we wanted to create the link between languages and the Conference on Future of Europe. Between 16 and 25 September, posts on our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter are focusing on words (in all EU languages) linked to speaking, hearing and expressing opinion as this is how you can participate in the Conference. Background: The European Day of Languages on 26 September is a well-established, annual opportunity to raise awareness around language learning and linguistic diversity. It started in 2001, organised jointly by the European Union and the Council of Europe. Many language and cultural institutes, associations, universities and, in particular schools, take part. With funding from Erasmus+, the European Union helps fund 80 local and national events around the European Day of Languages.
