The European Commission has launched an online questionnaire to consult stakeholders on the implementation of the new LIFE programme (2021-2027), which will include the Clean Energy Transition sub-programme as a new feature. The Clean Energy Transition sub-programme of LIFE will be a continuation of the market uptake activities, currently funded under Horizon 2020. The aim is to support the objectives of EU legislation and policies in the transition towards a decarbonised energy system and a decarbonised economy. It will include capacity building and dissemination of knowledge, new skills, and innovative techniques in energy efficiency and renewable energy. LIFE has been a highly successful programme, but this is the first time that the clean energy transition is specifically covered. We are therefore interested in hearing what you think. We look forward to drawing on your knowledge and your experience to ensure that the clean energy transition is successfully brought forward also through the LIFE programme. For further background information, see the Proposal for a Regulation establishing a Programme for the Environment and Climate Action (LIFE), in which the main objectives and conditions of the future LIFE Programme were provisionally set out. Your opinion matters! The online consultation is open until 27 April 2020. Related links LIFE Programme Details Publication date20 March 2020AuthorDirectorate-General for EnergyLocationBrussels
