EU Sustainable Energy Week 2020 focuses on green recovery and growth

EUSEW 2020

The European Union’s yearly Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) will be a digital event this year and takes place on 22-26 June. Its theme will be “Beyond the crisis: clean energy for green recovery and growth". See the full programme here.

Sessions will focus on sustainable energy issues, new policy developments, and on the exchange of best practices and sustainable energy ideas, with a full day dedicated to youth. In particular, given the current context, there will be debates on the European Green Deal, the Next Generation EU package and how clean energy policies can help Europe rebound from the crisis.

On 22 June, the first-ever European Youth Energy Daywill gather 18-30-year-olds to share their ideas on how to transform Europe into the first climate-neutral continent. It will count with the presence of Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice-President of the European Green Deal, and Kadri Simson, Commissioner for Energy policy.

Finally, as every year, the EUSEW Awards will celebrate outstanding individuals, projects and ideas.

Registration for EUSEW 2020 will launch in June. Sign up to the mailing list to receive updates on how and when to register.
