EU proposals, part of the 'Clean Energy for All Europeans' package, on energy efficiency, renewables and governance of the Energy Union, were top of the agenda on April 19 in Sofia, Bulgaria, at an informal council of EU energy ministers, also attended by European Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy Miguel Arias Cañete.

Under the motto ‘Sustainable Energy Union with a forward-looking climate change policy”, the meeting witnessed detailed discussions on progress achieved on the different files of the package, including on the Regulation on the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators of the Member States (ACER).
