EU energy datasheets – latest data now available

Did you know that renewables are currently the leading source of electricity generation in the EU? This information and much more is available in the latest biannual energy statistical country datasheets.

The February 2020 update includes the Eurostat 2018 energy data and cover all EU Member States. It presents, in a comparative format, a long term time-series of their energy balances, as well as the main energy indicators and figures on electricity and heat generation, cogeneration, transport fuels and greenhouse gases emissions.

Presented as country tables and including a country comparator by year, the energy statistical country datasheets are a ready-to-use tool for both expert and general audiences, with an interest in the EU energy landscape.   

The yearly statistical pocketbook 2019 is also available online, providing an annual overview of energy-related statistics in the EU and in individual EU countries. You can also find here details of each country's progress towards the EU's 2020 climate and energy targets.
