Consultation on the United Kingdom's electricity market reform for Great Britain

United Kingdom electricity market reform plan for Great Britain

The European Commission has opened a consultation on the United Kingdom’s proposed electricity market reforms in Great Britain, which covers England, Wales and Scotland.

Aimed at gauging opinion from public and private stakeholders, the consultation will feed into the Commission’s assessment of the planned reforms.

Under the Electricity Market Regulation 2019/943, Member States are required to outline reforms to their electricity market if and when they identify likely supply shortages.

Responses to this consultation on the United Kingdom’s plan for Great Britain should be submitted by 4 February 2020.
