Consultation on Germany's electricity market reform plan

Germany consultation electricity market reform plan

The European Commission has opened a consultation on proposed electricity market reforms in Germany.

Aimed at gauging opinion from public and private stakeholders, the consultation will feed into the Commission’s assessment of the planned reforms.

Under the Electricity Market Regulation 2019/943, Member States are required to outline reforms to their electricity market if and when they identify likely supply shortages.

Responses to this consultation on German plans should be submitted by 6 July 2021.
