The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy and the Center for Mediterranean Integration (CMI) of the World Bank are organising a workshop in Brussels on 11 April 2018 to present the EU Clean Energy Package to a number of Mediterranean countries, in order to improve their awareness and understanding of its implications, and thereby foster the development of renewable energy in southern Mediterranean countries.

The workshop aims to provide a more thorough presentation of the different proposals that make up the package, focusing in particular on the proposed Renewables Directive and the proposal for a new electricity regulation, so that stakeholders in southern Mediterranean countries can assess the requirements for integrating into the Euro-Mediterranean energy market.

The workshop will take place in the Albert Borschette Congress Center from 9h30 until 17h45.

The agenda, as well as details on logistical arrangements, are available here.
